福禄克网络推出企业性能中心Enterprise Performance Center

·          Separate computer with IIS, ASP.NET, and .NET 1.1 installed

NOTE:      The Integrated Poller is incompatible with all versions of SuperAgent below version 7.0.

Question: How many ReporterAnalyzer sources are supported by Enterprise Performance Center 1.0?

Answer: Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 provides support for a single ReporterAnalyzer source.  ReporterAnalyzer is architected to support very large Enterprise networks.

Question: How many SuperAgent sources are supported by Enterprise Performance Center 1.0?

Answer: Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 supports multiple SuperAgent sources.  A single instance of SuperAgent is designed to support five Collectors.  It is not uncommon to have more than one SuperAgent instance deployed in an Enterprise network.

Question: Will Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 support ReporterAnalyzer 6.x?

Answer: No, Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 support begins with ReporterAnalyzer 7.0.31 Hotfix 7.  Upgrade instructions and software are available from the Gold Support web site.  Please contact Fluke Networks TAC for assistance to ensure that your upgrade is uneventful.

Question: Will Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 support SuperAgent 5.x?

Answer: No, Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 support begins with SuperAgent 6.0.21 Hotfix 6.  Upgrade instructions and software are available from the Gold Support web site.  Please contact Fluke Networks TAC for assistance to ensure that your upgrade is uneventful.

Question: What TCP Ports are used by Enterprise Performance Center 1.0?

Answer: Two TCP ports are used:

·          Users will access Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 via TCP Port 80.

·          The Performance Center will access ReporterAnalyzer and SuperAgent via TCP Port 80 and TCP Port 3306.

·          Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 will access the Integrated Poller via TCP Port 3306.

The Integrated Poller

Question: Is the Integrated Poller part of the Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 executable installation file?

Answer: The Integrated Poller has its own executable installation file.

Question: How many Integrated Poller sources are supported by Enterprise Performance Center 1.0?

Answer: Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 supports only 1 Integrated Poller source.

Question: What data will the Integrated Poller provide?

Answer: The Integrated Poller provides data for only those devices monitored by ReporterAnalyzer and SuperAgent. The metrics provided for these devices are:

·          Interface Utilization

·          CPU Utilization

·          Memory Utilization

·          Errors/Discards

·          Availability

Sub-interfaces display only interface utilization and discard statistics

Question: What is the polling interval of the Integrated Poller?

Answer: The polling interval for the Integrated Poller is 15 minutes and is not user-configurable.

Question: Can the Integrated Poller be installed on a SuperAgent 6.0 system?

Answer: No. SuperAgent 6.0 does not support the Integrated Poller due to database incompatibilities. SuperAgent 7.0 will be the first version to support the Integrated Poller.

Question: Which MIBs does the Integrated Poller access on monitored devices?

Answer: The Integrated Poller queries the following MIBs, (additional MIBs are utilized by SuperAgent and ReporterAnalyzer):

·          RFC 1213 (MIB II)

·          RFC 2790 (Host Resources)

·          CISCO-SYSTEM-MIB

·          CISCO-MEMORY-POOL-MIB

Web Services

Question: What are WebServices?

Answer: A Web service is a software system designed to support machine-to-machine communication over a network. The WebServices allow Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 to obtain data from many different sources (such as ReporterAnalyzer, SuperAgent, and the Integrated Poller). It has an interface described in a machine-processable format (specifically WSDL). Other systems interact with the Web service in a manner prescribed by its description using SOAP-messages, typically conveyed using HTTP with an XML serialization in conjunction with other Web-related standards.

Question: Where are the WebServices installed?

Answer: WebServices need to be installed on every data source accessed by Enterprise Performance Center 1.0. These may include the ReporterAnalyzer Console, SuperAgent Master Console, SuperAgent StandAlone, and/or the Integrated Poller. Please see the Enterprise Performance Center 1.0 Installation Instructions on the GOLD Support web site.

Performance

Question: Which views are the most processing intensive?

Answer: The Interfaces over Threshold, Top Flows by Interface and any Client Region views are processing intensive and will take time to load.

Question: What is the maximum number of views that can be added to a page?

Answer: Although there is no set maximum, Fluke Networks recommends no more than 8 views per page to ensure satisfactory page rendering performance.

Question: How much data can be obtained from the ‘Interfaces Over Threshold’ view?

Answer: The ‘Interfaces Over Threshold’ view only displays data from the past 24 hours. ReporterAnalyzer constrains this view, not Enterprise Performance Center 1.0.
